In July and August 2024, passenger traffic at the airport rose by 3.7%, with 3.46 million passengers.
Passenger traffic at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport rose by 3.7% in July and August 2024, reaching 3.46 million passengers, mainly thanks to an increase in international traffic. Routes to the United States (+44.1%) and the Gulf countries contributed to this growth, while the domestic market declined by 10.2%.
🔹The airport recorded a 44.1% increase in traffic between Nice and the United States, and 120.2% with Saudi Arabia.
🔹21 new routes, 13 long-haul routes, including 7 to North America and 6 to the Gulf countries, boosted summer business.
🔹This increase in visitor numbers has a direct impact on the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolitan area, boosting its international appeal and increasing economic opportunities linked to tourism and trade.
🔹In terms of volume, Europe accounts for the bulk of traffic and is driving its growth, with the domestic market alone accounting for 22% of business.
🔹 With a total of 76 destinations in 35 countries, the 2024/2025 winter programme reflects the Côte d’Azur’s strategy of de-seasonalising tourism to maintain its appeal all year round.
