Attractiveness of Nice: new digital training courses

Nice’s attractiveness continues! Two new schools are opening in Nice! Meta, the parent company of Facebook, and Simplon, a school training for digital professions, are launching a “metaverse academy” at the start of the 2022 school year. Isart Digital, the 2nd best school in the world for video games, will set up in Nice at the start of the 2023 academic year!
Meta and Simplon open a specialisation in Metavers and Immersive Technologies
On 25th November 2022, Meta is launching a free and inclusive school in Nice entirely dedicated to metavers, in partnership with Simplon.co, a social and solidarity-based digital training company. With this initiative, Meta wishes to support job creation and training in new metavers-related professions in France, which are already in high demand by companies.
For the first phase, the programme will consist of an intensive individual training session of 3 to 6 months, followed by a second phase of 12 to 18 months of alternating work experience in the school’s partner companies.
The training sessions will be dedicated to two new occupations that are under pressure on the job market, identified within companies already involved in metavers: that of designer-developer specialising in immersive technologies (virtual, augmented and mixed reality) and metavers, which is on the list of emerging occupations identified by France Compétences, and that of support/assistance technician, essential for the implementation, maintenance and deployment of equipment and use cases throughout the market.
Isart Digital opens a video game school in 2023
Considered the 2nd best school in the world for video games, Isart Digital is setting up its new Game Business School concept in Nice Méridia, which combines video games and business. With the prospect of a brand new eco-responsible campus in Nice Ecovallée in 2025, with a business incubator and student residence designed to accommodate 200 students per year.
A video game school in Nice at the start of the 2023 academic year: this is what Isart Digital has announced. This pioneering school for video game professions, ranked as the 2nd best in the world by the American website Game Education, is already present in Paris and Montreal and works in partnership with Tokyo University of Technology. It is now opening a campus in Nice under its new entity ISART Game Business School. This campus will be dedicated to the video game sector, as well as to all sectors using digital image technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data (health, education, mass distribution, etc.).
The school will be located at the start of the 2023 academic year in Nice-Premium, next to 42 Nice, Xavier Niel’s computer science school. At this time, the Nice campus will add two new courses combining creativity and business to its programmes. From September 2023, 30 students will be able to enter the first year of a BBA Game & Creative Management (baccalaureate admission) and 30 others the first year of an MSc Game & Creative Strategy (baccalaureate admission), a master’s degree taught in English.
Eventually, by 2025, Isart Digital plans to move to new premises, still in the Nice Eco-Valley, to accommodate 200 students annually. The opening of a new eco-responsible campus is planned, including a business incubator and a student residence.
