In June 2025, Nice will be the center of world attention as it hosts the United Nations Conference on the Oceans: UNOC 2025.
The President of the French Republic and the United Nations have chosen the city of Nice for this global summit.
A first in France, this international summit will bring together leaders and governments from all over the world for a week of debates and decisions for the future of our planet.
The Assembly adopted by consensus the draft resolution "2025 United Nations Conference in support of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: To conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development", deciding to convene the next United Nations Conference on the Oceans in France, in June 2025.
Officially entitled "UN Conference in support of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: To conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development", the next UN Conference on the Oceans will be held in Nice in June 2025, hosted by the governments of Costa Rica and France.
